What up Cheyenne!!

So I don't check my StatCounter very often, but I happened to do so today and would just like to say hello to whoever is reading me from Cheyenne, Wyoming. When learning the state capitals in elementary school, Cheyenne was always my favorite. Also, Wyoming has the unique distinction of being the only state in the US with less people than Vermont. Congratulations, Wyoming!

So, person from Cheyenne Wyoming, what's up? Want to introduce yourself? I'd really like to know who you are.

How do you check your stat counter? I didn't know you could do that! Still learning about the blogging world lol.

Hey Lou, well first you have to install StatCounter on your blog. If you go to www.statcounter.com, it tells you how. It's really easy. Then you just go to that website to check your stats. It tells you how many page hits you have per day, as well as where those people are reading from (well, usually, sometimes the locations are less than accurate). For example, I know you're probably reading my blog when I get a hit from BC. You can also block your own IP address so that it doesn't show up when you look at your own blog.

OMG, and when you find out, please tell me who reads me from Chester, New Hampshire. He/She seems to be obsessed, though so far not dangerous!

Hope your relationship with Cheyenne is similiarly non-confrontational.

Wave to the random visitors!

I don't have stat counter and I am sure I look like a stalker. I click around a lot when I get bored...

You can also get your stats at Site Meter (http://www.sitemeter.com), and of course Google Analytics--which cannot be installed on a wordpress.com blog but can on a blogger blog.

So has Mr/Ms Cheyenne come forward yet?

Eileen: yeah, Mr/Ms Cheyenne has been seriously reading for the past week or so. I imagine he/she knows a lot about me now...

Annje: Haha no worries, I know where you're from so if I see that city pop up, I just think, Oh, that's probably Annje. Feel free to click away. It's the random cities that amuse me more.

Margaret: Yes, true! I'm not sure why I chose StatCounter. And no, no word from Mr./Ms. Cheyenne yet.

Oh God, come to think of it, I must have looked like the biggest stalker at times! When I first started blogging, I went back and read almost everyon´s blogs from the beginning because I missed Chile so much and loved to hear about expat experiences there. I spent hours on people´s blogs!

Alright, anybody who noticed that, don´t worry, I´m not a creepy stalker! I was just so fascinated with blogs when I first discovered them and loved reading them!

Haha Lou, no worries. I did that too when I first discovered the Chile blogs back in the day. It's nice when people who read the blogs actually start their own. That's the best.

It's probably someone who is considering coming to Chile. I lost a lot of lurkers when I switched blogs, but I still get emails from people who will occasionally de-lurk themselves.

Just saw your post this morning... and I think I'm Miss Cheyenne! Although that makes me sound like a beauty queen. I don't actually live in Cheyenne but I do live in Wyoming and I've been following your blog for about a month now. Don't worry, I'm not a stalker but Lou described what I'm doing perfectly: "Oh God, come to think of it, I must have looked like the biggest stalker at times! When I first started blogging, I went back and read almost everyon´s blogs from the beginning because I missed Chile so much and loved to hear about expat experiences there. I spent hours on people´s blogs!" I studied spanish in Chile for six weeks last summer and while I was there I met someone and am now considering making the move down, as well as I miss the people and culture so much sometimes. Then I found all these Chile blogs and I've been reading them like crazy to see what the gringa/expat life is like there. So thanks for all the info- I appreciate that you all are willing to share your views and experiences. And thanks for the shout-out!

Yay Tamara! I'm so happy to have a reader from Wyoming. :) Thanks for reading and don't worry, I don't think you're a stalker. Now we can call you Tamara instead of Mr/Ms. Wyoming. Haha.
